Name: Grid Based Sattelite Image Processing Platform
  Abbreviation: GreenLand
Description: The GreenLand Platform is a free GIS software for geospatial data management and analysis, image processing, graphics/maps production, spatial modeling, and visualization. The main objective of the GreenLand application is the satellite images oriented process description and parallel and distributed execution. In this case each process description could be represented as a DAG (Direct Acyclic Graph). The nodes of the graph could be basic operators or sub-graphs. The GreenLand is a scalable Grid based application in terms of number of users, computation resources, and huge data repositories. Due to the computing and storage capabilities offered by the Grid infrastructure, the execution time is significantly improved in comparison with standalone computing resources.
